ranting is not an excuse

I am supposed to be asleep by now but my darling husband gave me an assignment to research on some car lifts online. I swear, because of the stress I felt at work, I don't think I am still productive in doing the task that I was assigned to do. Plus the fact that my other househelp did not come back anymore. I had to do my share in the house such as cooking, cleaning the room and checking on Bob, our dear dog. I have a lot of things in my mind that all I want to do is to just close my eyes and sleep it all away...

My Singapore-based friend L surprised me with this pair of dark shades from Charles and Keith. And to say that I was giddy and pleasantly surprised is trully an understatement. Though not the same as my passion for bags and shoes, I also love collecting shades. As a matter of fact, I have about 10 in my possession. But they are really cheap ones that causes my recurring headaches and migraine attacks. I just buy the cheap ones because I am notorious for leaving small items like this in places. I used to own a really nice, expensive pair wherein it even traps and filters the lighting coming from the sun. But I left it in a restaurant about a year ago. From then on, I vow never to buy a shades that expensive. It's really so sweet of my friend to send a really nice pair my way!

All the people close to me know that I am a huge tote girl so when I saw this online, I drooled big time. This Bottega Veneta is so chic but not very cheap at $960! they've printed the iconic woven leather strips on canvas. Isn't it artistic?

it runs in the family

I am happy for a dear cousin who just got promoted to a very important position in the company she has been since she graduated from her masters degree in Economics a good eight years ago. She really has climbed the corporate ladder. From scratch, so they say. She has a very vital role at work holding all development marketing strategies for their business. One afternoon over coffee, she was discussing world economics with me and how her company has boomed since they begun ten years ago. She is really well breast with what she does and her passion for her work has brought her to where is right now. Kudos to you, cuz!
