online degree

My friend N is one lucky girl. Imagine, a few years after she left for the states, she emailed to share with us the news that she just got her online degree in Pscychology at the famous Capella University. You see, I have lost touch with her and I was not aware that she pursued schooling even after she left the country. I am so proud about this achievement and I can imagine the glow on her dad's face. She has been the apple of her dad's eyes that anything that she does make him really proud and happy. She was telling me how lucky she is to have been able to get her degree from that university as they were really flexible and understanding to busy, working people like her. Such a lucky girl.

things to accomplish

Things to do next weekend:

1. Buy a gift for Robb.
2. Talk to Mang J regarding the construction of our dirty kitchen (it's actually almost finished)
3. Wait for my turn to present to the board.
4. Call mom and dad. Share with them the happy news that Lizzie topped her class last trimester.
5. Purchase the DSLR for my birthday.
6. Attend Robb's 1st Birthday party.
7. Scout for xbox 360.

So many things, too little time. I have a week to accomplish everything. Pressed for time I know but I am confident I will be able to complete all the above tasks before my birthday. Excited. Super excited!

my career path

Why am I not surpised? =)

Your Career Type: Enterprising

You are energetic, ambitious, and sociable.

Your talents lie in politics, leading people, and selling things or ideas.

You would make an excellent:

Auctioneer - Bank President - Camp Director

City Manager - Judge - Lawyer

Recreation Leader - Real Estate Agent - Sales Person

School Principal - Travel Agent - TV Newscaster

The worst career options for your are investigative careers, like mathematician or architect.

our pampanga trip

We are off to Pampanga tomorrow morning. This will be our first out of town for the year and to say that we are all excited is an understatement. It's almost 2 in the morning but I am still wide awake because I have to pack our things and make sure that the house is safe from the burglars since all the househelp will be joining us. On the one hand, I am giddy with excitement but on the other hand, I am wary because I have to leave the house without anyone to look after it except for Bob, the dog. Because of this paranoia, I brought up the idea of purchasing some emergency lights so that it wouldn't be too dark at night. The ones I saw online were really good that it's hard to say no. I just need a little more convincing to the husband...

my daughter, a star

We got our daughter's developmental report card yesterday. And I just couldn't contain my excitement so I am sharing this to all of you. For some fo you who knows me personally, you're aware that my daughter was 1 trimester behind her classmates as we only enrolled her after her 3rd birthday last september. We resolved not to pressure her with schoolwork as our main goal for her was only to develop her socialization skills. But who wouldn't be proud if after 3 months, she delivers this kind of grades? We are oh so happy and oh so proud that my plans of buying a steering rack has been put on hold for now. Let me enjoy the moment first.

friday fill ins

1. Enough with the broken promises. What the Filipino people need now are concrete action plans on how to address poverty, unemployment and crime.

2. Being too nice and dandy causes me to be conflicted.

3. I've been craving for
cell phone amplifiers that I need to my phone. I have been searching around for this gadget.

4. My daughter Lizzie makes me laugh.

5. I wish I could go to the groceries next week.

6. Work and my career path has been on my mind lately.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a quiet dinner with my family to celebrate Lizzie's achievement in school, tomorrow my plans include hubby's basketball in the afternoon and a bon voyage party for a dear cousin and Sunday, I want to go to the Casino!

back on track

I'm just trying to go back to my groove. These past 3 days have been so rigid and stressful for me and my husband as the little girl was rushed to the hospital due to severe vomitting and a bad case of LBM and fever. The attending physician diagnosed it as Acute Gastroenteritis. Nothing to worry about she said because my daughter was very cooperative and thinks that the Oral Rehydration Salts that was given to her was a juice that would transform her to a Hannah Montana look alike. She was really funny even while she was sick so it kinda made me feel better about the whole situation. After bring hospitalized when I was young because of too much dieting, I got so traumatized with hospitals that I vowed never to go on crash diets again. Now, I rely on good weight loss aid like Fenphedra.

huge love...

Before dozing off to sleep last night and trying to watch Big Love on Cinema One (ang corny nya grabe! pero tuwang tuwa naman kame mag asawa!), this was how our conversation went:

Me: Dad, tingnan mo medyo may hawig kame ni Toni! Lookie lookie bilis! Baka mawala sa angle na magkahawig kami eh!!!
Dad: Oo nga noh? Kaya pala ma minsan, feeling ko kahawig ko din si Sam.

Toink!

busy...

..that's me!

Well, it really is an understatement but I can't just complain. When I decided to join the PB wagon, I knew for a fact that this will only take a back seat as I have a full time day job that pays me well. And with the way things are going at work, I can't just slack off now. So each time I open my laptop at home, I apologize to my blogs (yes, all of 3 of them!) for the lack of posts and updates. I am such a bad blogger. But in time, I know I will find more time for posts worthy of reading. But for now, please bear with me for my short SPs.

a beautiful body

My good friend S was radiant in her wedding gown. I loved the flow of her dress and how it hugged her already curvaceuos body. She mentioned that it helped that she was wearing a corset underneath as it really showed her curves. I never wore one when I got married. God thing I was really slim that time so I still looked fine even without it. My mom said that it helps in bringing out the sexiness of a woman. She has a couple kept in her wardrobe and I told her to bring one for me when she comes home. Now that I am struggling to shed off some pounds, this might do for now...

minor revisions for the house

I am supposed to be bedbound now since I have work very early tomorrow but I just can't contain my excitement. Tomorrow, after work, we shall be purchasing tv lifts for the three television sets in the house. I swear I have been whining about new lifts for them since last year and its only now that we are able to buy for all three. Happy is an understatement really. What a way to start my year. At least I can continue with my plans of some minor renovation in the house. Will post photos soon!

cold weather

We are having a hard time in the mornings lately. The very cold weather is killing us that I was joking hubby to get me the heated mattress pads that we saw online. It will surely aid in my sleep as I have a hard time snuggling under the covers. My husband and daughter are both addicted to the aircon that even with this kind of weather, they would demand that the aircon be in full blast so since majority wins in the house, I am left with no other option but to cover myself up with layers and layers of blankets. Hoping that the mattress pads will help too!

i want...
