cheers to a new year!

This is the last week of 2010 so allow us to celebrate and give thanks for the wonderful year that was. 2010 was a mixture of happy and sad months, a mixture of good and bad news, a mixture of triumphs and defeats. And now, as we move forward and welcome a new year, more than the sports trophies or bag awards that we long to receive, let us not forget to praise God for not letting us down in moments of trials and who continues to lift us up in time of downfalls.

Cheers to 2011!

crossroads

Just when I thought I am all set in welcoming the new year, I suddenly remembered that I have to renew the insurance of my family. Still not decided on whether or not I will get another insurance for them as I have been paying a hole lot already for the other one however the insurance quotes that was sent to me by a friend is enticing that I am thinking otherwise. What do you guys think?

apple of my eyes

When you become a parent, or a mother at that, the essence of child safety is the first on your list. You care less about other people and even yourself. What you would always want and wish for, even pray for, would be for the best of your child especially her safety. I have been like this since almost 6 years ago when I first had my daughter. My prayers would be for her safety and protection. My prayers have doubled this year when I had my son. I know that nannies abound but you can only find the perfect match for you and your family through time. I don't want any nanny cameras at home because it defeats the purpose of having a warm, truthful, honest and homey atmosphere. But if there really is a need for me to do that, I can purchase affordable ones at http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/nanny-camera.html. Each night, I would close my eyes and pray that they will both be guarded by their angels so nothing and no one can ever warn them. Safety and protection for my children, all the time.

early detection is the key

I am trying my best to live a healthy life. Cancer scares the hell out of me and if I were given a choice, I would not want to die because of this. One deadly disease is Mesothelioma. This is deadly and at the same, can be avoided if detected and treated right away. It is a diffuse malignancy and spreads itself throughout a tissue area. I don't want to die of cancer so prevention and early detection is the ultimate key.

place in the sun

A former colleague has resigned and has recently opened up her own business. As we speak, I was informed that she has one of the best web hosting sites in the country. She has hired experienced webmasters that carefully review and test each web hosting company and rank them according to reliability, price value and customer service. She may not have succeeded in her previous field but I am glad that she has found her niche in the online world.

gaining weight

Am I that fat to be recommended to take Lipofuze by my good friends? Hayst. Not that I am hurt because really, I am not. The fact that it would burn fat and even lose up to 10 pounds in your first 7 days thrills me. Imagine, burning all these unwanted calories and the other calories that I will be gaining this season, how can I not take a chance and give this a try. Who knows?

sanctuary

I am very particular with toilets. I want to make sure that they are spic and span clean and they smell good. The toilets at home are being disinfected everyday and general cleaning are done weekly. This does not include the daily morning cleaning ritual as I get easily irked when I see even a single strand of hair on the floor. What about you? What's your favorite room in your house?

techy dad

We have been convincing my father in law, who is in the construction business, to try the POS systems but he is having a hard time understanding the benefits that this could give him and us. We have been telling him that these gadgets would make his life at least 50% easier as they would do all the dirty work for him. But being a paper, old style guy, it would take a few more convincing powers before he could give us the go signal.

a class of her own

I never thought that cubic zirconia rings can be as elegant and as classy as diamond rings. You can never see the difference because they almost have the same clarity. I don't mind getting a few pieces for myself and my daughter as I find it really very dainty and classy. Wouldn't you want some too?

heaven on earth

I have been an active internet fan for more than 15 years already but I have not encountered a web hosting service as efficient and cost friendly as webhostingservice.net. The way members are treated by customer service or technical support when they call in for problems, the way they price their services, and even the speed of results are just too awesome to mention. I have never seen anything like this before.

black is black

I was wondering if you know of some home remedies for blackheads? I have been getting them in my face and it's starting to irritate me already. I think I got these from the new soap that I am using now. Changed it right after tiny specks start appearing on my face but it seems that it's not enough I changed my beauty soap. I really have to find a way to cure this or else....

buy gold

Can someone direct me where to buy gold in the US? My aunt is looking on investing in gold and silver and has commissioned me to find me the best stores or outlets where she can purchase some. She is convinced that the beauty of a gold bar lies in its proven ability to diversify investments, protect wealth and preserve one’s purchasing power. She has been constantly communicating with me on updates as to where she can buy them but as of yet, I haven't given her any recommendation whatsoever. Not being familiar with the US is one of my greatest challenges so far so I am seeking the help of all my US based friends to recommend some stores for me. I would really love to help my aunt but I am as clueless as her. Yay!

lizzie's powers

My daughter L, has always taken Ceelin as her vitamins eversince she was small. I guess, that helped in how she managed to have strong resistance and a really healthy body. But now that she is growing, I am looking for alternatives or perhaps the best multivitamins so she can be more protected now that she is more exposed outdoors as she goes to big school. If you know of something, do let me know.

Dada's Christmas Wish List 2010

1. PS 3
2. Kindle
3. bushnell binoculars
4. Oakley Ducati Shades
5. Peace. Love. Happiness.

I think the last one is the easiest to give but being the best dad and hubby in the world, he deserves all the material things that he wishes for. I may not be able to buy him all those on the list at once. But I will strive to give him as much.

And plenty of the last. Heeee!

United States Gold Bureau

My mom's fascination with silver and gold started when she was in medical school. She was telling me how she would save all her allowance that comes from my grandmother just so she can buy small pieces of gold that she can keep as an investment. She brought that hobby with her when she got married and migrated to the US. There she learned about United States Gold Bureau and has since collected more gold and silver. I know for a fact that all the pieces that she has collected all these years will be mine so I am excited. Yay!

help please

Enough of internet for the weekend. But before I even doze off to bed, I badly need to look for one a day vitamins that I can give my kids so their health will always be in top shape. You see, both are active kids and would need all the supplements that they can get not just in food but also in vitamins. Any suggestions?

a pleasant surprise

My sister in law ordered boxes of the new diet pill that she discovered online. She had her sister, who is a nurse in Anaheim, buy it for her. I asked her what she's going to do with all the diet pills when they arrive and I was surprised when she said that she's going give them to me. Am I that fat already? Uh oh! Better start dieting as well...

it's a boy

When hubby learned that we were having a boy midway through my pregnancy, he immediately bought cigars to celebrate. Not sure where he got the idea but he told me that once you know that you are having a baby boy, one has to celebrate by smoking the most expensive cigar. Not sure what that is for but just not to break a tradition, I let him buy a pack and celebrate.

hopeless romantic

I am out of the office starting tomorrow until All Souls Day. Quite a long weekend I have there yeah. I have a scheduled check up tomorrow and needs to run some errands for the house. I also plan to get some rest to regain my energy back. It has been a long, stressful week and I can't afford to faint again hahaha. I shall close my eyes now and leave for lalalaland...

Can't wait for Cyber Monday everyone!

desperate measures

I am getting satisfied with how I look now. Not too fat, but not yet stick thin. Flashback 4 months ago when I resolved to take Lipofuze already because I was really not losing weight. I heard about its good effects so I wanted to give it a try but since I am actually losing weight now, I might postpone it to a later time. Let's see where this weight loss without any intervention will go first then we shall take it from there. Yee!

Saturday 9: Hush

1. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener? I have always been the talker. I guess, that's really my nature. I blab a lot. =)
2. Do you take compliments well? Yep. I am confident like that.
3. Are you judgmental? I am learning not to.
4. Do you think more about the past, present or future? the present because that's what all that matters. The future will take care of itself.
5. What do you hate? dirty bathroom.
6. Use three words to describe yourself. strong willed, fiercely independent and motherly.
7. Do you celebrate Halloween? Explain: Only this year because L can already understand the concept of the event.
8. If you were mixing up a witches brew, what would be in it? a favor for a friend -- something that would cure her zits, probably a home remedy for acne.
9. If you're in a room with two beds, which one do you sleep on? side of the bed:always right.

Lovely Suze

I want to share with you my friendship with this lady who I met many years ago. She was at the peak of her health and was living her life to the fullest until the confirmation from her doctor that she had colon cancer. What's very admiring about her was her continued zest for life amidst the condition that she is at right now. Her drive to be happy in her last years are very contagious. There are times when our bonding sessions would be about colon cleansing reviews and just brainstorming on what we have learned about the sickness so far. If only I could even a fourth of her strength and will power, I will be fine. Really.

battle of bulges

As mentioned in my previous post, I am not a fan of diet pills but I might as well be innovative and try looking at the possibilities and benefits of the weightlosstablets that my mom brought from the US. For the longest time, my issue is really on how to get rid of the fats in my tummy and I think that this is the solution to my never ending saga of fighting this belly bulge. I hope I am successful.

healthy and happy

Whether or not you are trying (or struggling to try?) to change your lifestyle from a no-nonsense-eating-no-dieting-and-exercising person to a health buff who wouldn't want to miss a gym session, hgh supplement might aid in your quest to achieve that goal.Natural HGH enhancers simply increase the natural production of HGH by stimulating the pituitary glands in your brain. This will not help you feel and look younger, it will also aid in letting you feel and look healthier and happier!

vanity and beauty

People, girls in particular, belonging to my generation are getting more particular with how they look. A good number spend lots of money in liposuctions and diet. A remarkable number are also spending for skin treatments. Have encountered mommy-friends who compare what is the best eye cream for dark circles with each other. It may be vanity for some but for our generation, it's necessity.

goodbyes are not forever

I am surely gonna miss you, K. You have been my shoulder to cry on at work for the last thirty six months and your sudden decision to migrate left me with no other choice but to accept it with a very heart... ~F

A very good friend from work recently left for the US to settle there for good. Both of us were caught offguard as we have not expected the turn of events to happen so soon. We have not even started researching on
philly jobs online. I remembered us planning on doing it this month since her tentative departure won't be until August of this year. Boy, was I surprised when she called me last night just to say goodbye...

high technology

A friend who was recently confined in the hospital because of her recurring ailment was surprised to learn that we already have pulse oximeter in the philippines. I first heard about that through my dad who lives in the US. This is being used especially in carehomes to track oxygen level & pulse-rate accurately. Seems that technology is booming even in the hospital industry!

printing

I am looking for an online printing shop for invitations that I need for next week's office activity. Our clients want to give out postcards and brochures to all the attendees and since they are requesting to print a lot, costing is one of my considerations. I need one that can offer affordable rates yet give excellent quality of service. Please let me know should you have any suggestions.

save it!

It's final. I'm getting me a new car in a few months. Our family car is too big for me drive so we have decided to get one for me, something small and compact but is gas efficient. the excitement is there yes, but I am more into looking for the best insurance online so I wouldn't have to worry about anything for the years to come. My friends have suggested a few companies but I am leaning towards a company that I know will give me what I really want. Hope I am right.

massage

Tomorrow's my off so I plan to get a body massage. I was meaning to go to my default spa but opted to try something new. A friend recommended this place that opened a few weeks ago. Quite excited since the place is new. Gotta check out if the amenities are better than the old place I go to each time. Hoping its better because I am really particular with the ambience as well as the cleanliness of the place that I even ask the cleaning ladies if spa filters have been replaced already.

baby boy

shopper in the house

I love love love shopping! But lately, I have been a very responsible spender. I don't go to the mall that much and if and when I need to purchase something, I think about it a hundred times. I also try not to use my cards and opt to pay in cash. I realized that credit card processing may take a while as compared to just handling out cash. I hope I get to control my spending for a longer time. Teehee!

flawless skin

Did you ever had problems with your skin? I guess I am one of the very few who never had issues with their skin even when I was a lot younger. Thanks to my mom who has been constantly reminding me to take care of my skin so as to prevent having eczema. Good thing that for those who have, a lot of medications are being offered which are effective and affordable. Just check on the site and see for yourself. Take care for your skin, everyone!

thrift shopper

How was your holy week? I haven't been out lately even if almost all malls are offering sale. I confess I am really a shopaholic but, as I mature, I realize that I am learning to be thrifty and smart on my purchases. I go for classics since I know that they will stay for a long time. That's the main reason why I adore Audrey Hepburn so much. She is such an icon. So, if before you would see me falling in line on some sale shops in the mall, I started begging off lately. You can't imagine how much I have saved from doing this. Yiha!

for the little ones

Having 2 kids at this day and age can be expensive and tough. So, I am researching on how a life insurance lead to something good for them and their future. Investing in one is part of our long term plan and as early as now, we have been saving double time so we can get the best for the 2 little ones. It's never easy to raise a family so hard work, perseverance and determination are really essential in surviving this race.

impatient...

I am giving myself a few more months to shed off these unwanted pounds. I know, I know.. I am being hard on myself but I really need to otherwise, these fats will befriend my whole being and would eventually opt not to leave my system anymore hahaha! I have heard of weight loss supplements like quick trim extreme burn and reviews are saying that they are effective and efficient but I would want to try shedding the fats off through discipline first. Who knows, right?

shed it off!

Especially for someone who just gave birth recently, the ultimate goal is to lose weight. To say that we all try our best to lose weight is an understatement but really, the demands of the world where we revolve in stops us from doing so. No amount of diet, exercise or discipline could really shed ALL those unwanted fats in your body. That's where we will need help in the form of diet pills. Right now, I would recommend that you check on the options at www.godietpills.com and see for yourself what best suits your body and lifestyle. Go for it!

spa to the world

Before I got pregnant to Sky almost a year ago, I would frequent spas and facial centers for a nice massage and my regular facials. The last thing that I would really want to have are
blackheads on nose so by frequenting these centers, I am sure that I wouldn't get those heee!! The massage are added bonus, by the way...

Can't really wait for March so I can go back to the spa again. It has been almost a yaer and my body can't wait anymore...

it wouldn't hurt...

to own another one... and another one... until my bag closet would shout "enough!"
My fondness for Longchamp will I guess, never waver. And no amount of any designer bag could make me feel happy the way that this eyecandy makes me happy everytime :0

time to buy gold bullion

I can't believe I will dabble in investments this early. It was actually my husband's idea that we invest and put our hard earned money in stocks, gold, and etc. He feels that it's time to buy gold bullion. He is a firm believer that the best way to earn money is to invest in gold. I must say that he is right so now, I am helping him out in looking for companies that offer this. We have come across online already and we are just finalizing everything before we purchase online. Can't wait for the return of our investment!

cool jackets

Hubby has always been a fan of racing and anything that relates to cars. So it was not a biggie for me anymore when he asked me to search for some Nascar jackets online. Good thing, they already posted new photos of their 2010 edition. All you have to do is to look for your favorite driver and check on all designs as they become available.

The quality is nice and it's affordable too so I will be purchasing for him and my brother online as soon as I get the designs that they want.

Heaven - LIVE (live)

Our Ultimate song for the firstborn =)

she's safe

Presenting my firstborn holding the bouquet of flowers given to me by my staff on my 32nd birthday. Look at how she has grown up. Where have all the years gone by? Sometimes, I feel a bit of nostalgia when I watch her sleep because. My baby has grown up. So as a parent, the best that I can do really is to make sure that she has a bright future ahead of her and what better way to do that but to check on life insurance rates so I can have her insured early on. I want her to have the best life so I'll make sure she gets that.

best divorce letters

As I was checking my emails while simultaneously reading on quick weight loss supplements and ideas, I chanced upon this letter that is trully hilarious. Read on!!!

Dear Wifey,

I'm writing you this letter to tell you that I'm leaving you forever. I've been a good husband to you for 7 years & I have nothing to show for it. But, these last 2 weeks have been hell.
Your boss called to tell me that you quit your job today and that was the last straw. Last week, you came home and didn't even notice that I had a new haircut, had cooked your favorite meal, & even wore a brand new pair of silk brief. You ate in 2 minutes and went straight to sleep after watching all of your soap operas. You don't tell me you love me anymore; you don't want anything that connects us as husband and wife. Either you are cheating on me or you don't love me anymore; whatever the case, I'm gone!!

Your Ex-Husband

P.S.: Don't try to find me. Your SISTER and I are moving away to West Virginia together! Have a great life!

Dear Ex-Husband,

Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter!

It's true that you and I have been married for 7 years, although a good husband is a far cry from what you've been. I watch my soap operas on television so much because they drown-out your constant whining & griping (too bad that doesn't work). I DID notice when you got a hair cut last week, but the 1st thing that came to mind was 'You look just like a monkey!' Since my mother raised me not to say anything, if you can't say something nice, I didn't comment. And when you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY SISTER, because I stopped eating pork 7 years ago. About those new silk brief: I turned away from you because the $49.99 price tag was still on them, and I prayed it was a coincidence that my sister had just borrowed $50 from me that morning.. After all of this, I still loved you and felt we could work it out. So when I hit the lotto for $10 million, I quit my job and bought us 2 tickets to Jamaica. But when I got home you were gone. Everything happens for a reason, I guess.

I hope you have the fulfilling life as you always wanted. My lawyer said that the letter you wrote ensures that you won't get a dime from me.
So take care!

Signed,
Your Ex-Wifey, Rich As Hell and Free!!

P.S.: I don't know if I ever told you this, but my sister Carla was born as Carlo (man)..... ....I hope that's not a problem!!!

graceful exit

Have you ever heard of human growth hormone? Well, just like most of you, this is also my first time to be hearing of such. But I have read once that with aging comes technology on how to slow down and not stop or prevent, aging. There is actually an organization who has been there for years, that guides you in knowing everything you need to know about human growth hormone supplements and its anti-aging effects. You can read all about it in the website and call them if you have additional questions. It would be nice to age gracefully so why not get in touch with them?

what a bod!

These are my 2 dear friends at work who can vouch on how effective slimming wraps are. Just look at their sexy bods and you can tell for yourself. It's really true that it'll give you a fit, trimmed, and toned body in every area, helping you to burn over 1200 calories in one 50 minute session, reduce cellulite, improve blood circulation, relieve pain and muscle stiffness, and eliminate acne and psoriasis in all one. In short, it is mainly meant to promote weight loss, but has various other additional benefits. Can't wait to try it in 2 months!

to do to do to do!

Before eyeshut, and while I browse over some anti aging product for my mother in law, let me gather my thoughts and line up the things I need to do for tomorrow:

1. Ask the messenger to pay my credit card bill
2. Bring Lizzie to school.
3. Prepare Arthuz's clubhouse sandwhich, Lizzie's snacks and lunch.
4. Decide on where to go for my birthday dinner.
5. Start fixing baby, mommy and daddy bags.
6. Blog, Blog, Blog
7. Facebook please!
8. Finish pending writing assignments. When I say pending = overdue already!
9. Sleep early.

Accomplishing at least 6 out of the 9 tasks here will make me happy.

random thoughts

It's 11:30 and I need to sleep now. Why am I still wide awake???

I am so happy that I was able to clean up my office email and to top it all, was able to reply to important ones. I noticed that while I was doing that, my eyebrows are almost touching each other. Guess I need some of the
anti wrinkle creams that they sell online.

I am eagerly and patiently waiting for Sky's coming... Wooooo!!!

Very relaxed mode. Maternity leave started today. Love it!

In 2 days, I will be 32. Why am I not excited? =)

go away fats!

One of the very first things that I am going to do right after I give birth and I am physically ready is to shed off these unwanted fats in my body. And what better way to do that but to ask hubby to get a nice, strudy and affordable treadmill for me. I was thinking that since I have a small baby under my wings, the chances of going to the gym is very slim so I scrapped that plan. I am planning to transform one of our extra rooms at home into a nice gym room not only for myself but for my husband and daughter as well. I will show you photos as soon as I am done with that plan. Tata!

family vacation

I wonder what happened to my friend's family vacation in Riviera Maya. She mentioned before they left that they were to stay in a place named Hidden Beach Resort. And I am so thrilled about her stories because she will be going there with just her husband (since they don't have kids as of yet). It says in their site that this is the only luxurious, all-inclusive nudist resort in the Mexican Caribbean, Hidden Beach is a secluded, adults-only property with 42 suites situated along the beach. Swim-up suites allow guests to step out of their room into a winding artificial river connecting to the main pool and swim up bar. All Suites offer air conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite TV, DVD and CD library, plush robes and 24-hour room service for private dining. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also served at La Vista a’ la Carte restaurant where food is available from 6am to 2am. I a pretty sure they have enjoyed every bit of their stay there. Who wouldn't anyway?

ds lite

This was our gift for the little girl last Christmas. My husband was having second thoughts of getting this for her since he thought that she is only 4 and won't really maximize the full potential of the game consul but lo and behold, after only a few days in her possession she's able to beat us in most of the games saved in her new toy. I guess this is what technology does for all of us. I am not complaining though as this is all good. For as long as she doesnt take her school for granted =) Now, let me check out some cardboard displays online. Be right back!
